BSc, dipION, mBANT Registered Nutritional Therapist
Twelve years ago I realized that my life was running away from me. At the time I was reflecting on my career to date: Almost a decade enjoying a fun, fast-paced, and lucrative career in marketing which I traded in to find more fulfilment from a role that gave me a sense of purpose – I moved into recruitment where I helped my fellow marketeers find their next move and further their careers.
While I found the sense of purpose I wanted, it was ‘out of the frying pan and into the fire’ as far as pressure was concerned and after around 8 years I found myself with various health issues that were undoubtedly stress related, but more complex than a few weeks off in the sun could resolve.
So it was that I discovered the power of good nutrition! I had a serendipitous conversation with a nutritional therapist which led to a consultation during which it became clear that my digestive health issues were not something that I had to ‘learn to live with’ (sound familiar?), and so after following recommendations and restoring my health I embarked on the training that led to the best career phase of my life!
Trained at the renowned Institute for Optimum Nutrition
I was inspired by the changes in my own life to embark on the intensive 4-year training at the renowned Institute for Optimum Nutrition (ION) which I then followed up with a BSc from the University of West London. And since graduating 9 years ago I’m now in the rewarding position of being able to offer support and advice to people seeking solutions to their own health problems.
And I continue to learn. Nutritional science is constantly evolving and I keep up with regular retraining and continued professional development (CPD) to help me apply the latest approaches in clinic.
